Welcome February! Tomorrow is Groundhog Day… but I don’t care. I never understood the holiday, or why we should trust an animal to predict the weather.
He might be accurate 100% of the time, for all I know. What difference does it make if he sees his shadow? (Side note, the image is apparently a hedgehog, not a groundhog… but too freaking cute not to post).
Anyhoo, tomorrow is more important to me because it’s my baby’s birthday. Every five years is a milestone in this household, so we’re going to party hard. My little five-year-old princess will be treated like a Queen. So I will be MIA for a couple weeks…
In the meantime, I wanted to talk about the third and final book I ‘read’ in January. It’s more of a picture book…
FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM: MAGICAL MOVIE HANDBOOK
It’s not worth a review. Go see the movie.
Get this little book too; it’s a great handbook to have, and has wonderful images. But I’m a huge fan of all things Harry Potter, so this little book was bound to be a winner before I even opened it!
What’s on my reading list for this month?
THE ROSIE PROJECT By Graeme Simsion
SWEET By Emmy Laybourne
NIGHT ORCHID By L. Lombard
My goal is to read and review two books per month, but here I have listed three. The third book, “Night Orchid” is an advance copy (perks of the job). It’s not out on the market yet, so I likely won’t give a review for this one. However, I highly recommend the first book in this vampire series – Ebo.
Seriously read it. Then you, too, can get excited about Night Orchid and all it’s romantic glory!
